Lots of activity with Arts Catalyst projects and associated artists right now. London Fieldworks' SpaceBaby premiered to an enthusiastic audience at the Whitechapel last week. We'll keep you updated on where to see it next if you missed it. On Friday June 20th we will launch our new book Bipolar, a new polar 'archive' from artists scientists and thinkers imagining and shaping the future of both polar and global spaces. Available here.
Arts Catalyst associated artists are in a couple of venues right now. If you are in Paris, you can go and see a number of works by Simon Faithfull at Galerie Polaris, showing until June 28, including parts of the Arts Catalyst exhibition Ice Blink and Escape Vehicle no 6 which is shown in Artists Airshow 1 (see blog below).Tomas Saraceno, who worked with us in Artists Airshow 2 with Poetic Cosmos of the Breath has a major vertigo-challenging piece in the Hayward's Psycho Buildings. Also equally vertigo-challenging is the possibility to row off the end of the South Bank Centre by Vienna's Gelitin, (Pictured below)
Finally, the Arts Catalyst took part in one of the run-up events for Interdependence Day at London's Design Museum, in a forum chaired by philosopher Benjamin Barber, explaining why 'The Art of Common Space' included orbital space too. Organised by Gunpowder Park with theatre director Robert Wilson, Interdependence Day takes place this year on the anniversary of 9/11 at Kai Theatre, Brussels.
