| The Arts Catalyst, the British Library and the Open University present POLAR: the Art & Science of Climate Change A season of events focusing on the curation and production of climate change knowledge in the polar regions, including artists' commissions, interdisciplinary symposium, public talks and a publication The first series of public lectures and symposium is complete. We plan to put extracts of recordings of the sessions online in due course. In the meantime, you can read abstracts from the symposium via the links below. The Polar archives book is currently in development and will be published in March 2008. Anne Brodie and Weather Permitting are being commissioned to create artworks for the next phase of Polar. Symposium: POLAR: Fieldwork & Archive Fever Monday 19 & Tuesday 20 November 2007 British Library Conference Centre, St Pancras, 96 Euston Road, London NW1 This iinterdisciplinary symposium will focus on the curation and production of climate change knowledge in the polar regions. It will bring together scientists, writers, artists, historians and social scientists with interests in knowledge about the polar landscape and its broader implications for global climate and society.
