Esther Cann

Esther Cann has worked on human rights in the disputed territory of West Papua for nine years. After being a peace worker in the Central Highlands region, she worked on freedom of expression, torture and human rights defenders with TAPOL, a UK-based NGO promoting human rights in Indonesia. More broadly, she has worked on humanitarian disarmament, gender justice, asylum seeker support and disability in the UK, India and the Philippines. Esther holds an MA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, and currently lives and works in East London.
